Projects

Discover exemplary works at the forefront of climate action.

More

Frontrunners in the design community, have advanced climate action for years. Their exemplary designs, innovative use of materials and technologies, and novel products form the collected works on Lot21 –– curated around the three complementary pillars of climate action: adaptation, mitigation, and restoration.

Since we cannot adapt and mitigate our way out of climate change, we need restoration too because it commits to removing the excess carbon that already exists in our atmosphere. (*IPCC report)

As a result, all three pillars of climate action must be deployed now through design and throughout the 21st century.

Climate Action Projects - Lot21

Climate adaptation resists the harmful effects of climate change
by deploying more resilient solutions.

Climate mitigation reduces the carbon emitting sources in the
built environment that contribute
to climate change.

Climate restoration removes the excess carbon that already exists
in our atmosphere and is
warming our planet.

How to Participate

We welcome new projects that exemplify how designers are helping adapt environments to changing climate conditions, mitigate the harmful effects of climate change and restore our climate to a safe pre-industrial level. Your project suggestions are appreciated and can be submitted with our easy .
